October Garden

I love gardens in October. The bees become dazed, and the twigs get crispy, but there are still a few defiantly peachy roses hidden in the brambles. Frost wilts the nasturtiums but makes the apples sweeter.

I have been wanting to make an English garden hedge collection of fabric designs for a long time, so when Spoonflower's Hedgehog challenge of the week came along I thought well why not combine the two? 12 Days of Fabric 2014: Day 1

Let it begin! Every day for the next 12 days I will be pulling a couple fabrics from my design library and listing them for sale in my shop. They will also be available as gift wrap, decals, and wallpaper. When I received the swatch order for these 30 fabrics it felt like Christmas! I tore open the package, whipped open the spread of fabric like a superhero swooshing their cape, and then spent a significant amount of time inspecting and swooning over the designs on real, touchable, fabulous fabric.
