Cheertown

A little follow-up from Almonte's Holiday Night Market...here's Baker Bob's and Tin Barn Market during the day! Punches of red, the whole Gingie clan, baby firs, and a skating bunny. Absolutely charming!

Looking Out Chair

I realized I had yet to share the latest addition to my ever-growing chair collection, so here we are, this is the prize of my The Sidecar win! It's my Looking Out design on Eco Canvas fabric on a Maran Slipper Chair by Roostery. It's quite a comfy little marshmallow. I used some Pure White Chalk Paint on the dark brown legs to better coordinate with the airiness of the fabric.
Roostery is Spoonflower's awesome sister company for homewares (chairs, pillows, tea towels, etc.) and all of my designs and others' in the Spoonflower marketplace are available on their products.

Carbide Willson Ruins

This 1911 mill is an enthralling structure of abandoned ingenuity!
Its massive, warped window frames have an elegant industrial feel.
Salt patterns on the stone
Contemporary cave drawings
So much rough texture
A grand spot for photoshoots

Woven Wallpapers

I ordered my Buttons, Looking Out, and Creative Resolve designs on Spoonflower's woven wallpaper swatches. This is the first time I have ordered wallpaper. They arrived safely in a nifty cardboard tube, though, warning, if you don't like the smell of vinyl hold your breath and let it off-gas for a few days! This is a great peel-and-stick material. It can, in fact, be re-positioned as advertised and would be great not only for walls but smaller items like notebooks and such! These designs are of course available in my shop as wallpaper, fabric, and gift wrap.

Eyes to the Soul

Here's my fabric design for Spoonflower's Your Neighborhood challenge of the week. I've always thought that the windows of a building are the most revealing aspect of its character, and I love to observe the fascinating variety of architectural forms they take! I'm especially partial to overflowing window baskets.

On the Porch

As a blend between the lush outdoors and comfortable indoors, the best porches are lounge-worthy spaces. I am so in love with these sturdy, ornate, dripping-with-flowers verandas on homes in Picton and Bloomfield, Ontario, because they are gorgeous examples of the kind of porch that invites summer lingering!
