Hello Rialto

I'm packing to spend the weekend swing dancing at the stunning 1920s Rialto Theatre! If I skip a song I'll be drooling at the architecture. My outfit is, of course, flapper inspired, with this gold skirt that I added fringe to.
Tomorrow night is a masquerade ball! I made this mask out of faux leather that I painted gold and embossed with a single hole punch! Ha! I made it to be compatible with my glasses. So excited for this swing fest!

Born Again Collage

My Born Again collage is an illustration of the very hopeful Isaiah 40:31. Here's the behind the scenes look at the creation process!
I made the mask out of papier mâché and painted it gold when it was dry.
The background of the collage is a canvas board I covered in tissue paper and painted with acrylic.
I cut out various butterfly shapes from plastic, cardstock, decorative paper, and magazine clippings, as well as the words in the quotation from cardstock painted metallic. I glued them on surrounding the mask.
There you have it!
