This garden plan on the endpaper of Martha Stewart's Gardening Month by Month caught my eye while I was leafing through some gardening books. I adore this style of garden illustration--the angle of the perspective, the monochromatic details, and the script labels. It makes me want to wander through all these inviting greenery rooms--down the antique brick path, across the croquet lawn, and into the rose garden to forage a bouquet!

DIY Plaster Roses
I just went on a plaster rose-making spree! I have a silicone rose mold by Martha Stewart and decided to attempt to fill it with plaster. As you can see, the plaster picks up the fine details of the mold so it worked quite well. It also dries quickly, which allowed me to whip out several batches in a short period of time. I am going to use these flowers in embellishing furniture, frames, and the like.
